Clara Dorene Reed's Obituary
Clara Dorene Reed, age 76, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died Sunday, December 10, 2023. She was born June 8, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas to Guy and Ruby Goodin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Charles Thomas Reed, Sr. of 54 years, two sisters Betty Littrell and Billie along with husband Ronnie Macarthur, and grandson Seth Reed.
Dorene was an employee of Walmart for over 20 years and spent the rest of her time as a homemaker. She was a believer in Christ and a long-time active member of First Baptist Church of Weddington Woods. She enjoyed scrapbooking and creating arts and crafts. She was a dedicated mother, wife, sister, and child of God who lived simply and always showed that family, friends, and community are what mattered most.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Alverson and husband Troy, Charlene Thompson and husband Shawn of Lowell; a son Charle Reed, Jr., and fiancé Brandi Seratt of Fayetteville; 13 grandchildren Josh Jameson, Amber Jameson, Hanna Jameson, and fiancé Cody, Morgan Reyngoudt and husband Josh, Katelynn Kennedy and boyfriend Ty Eckert, Destiny Thompson, triplets Walker, Quincy, and Reagan Thompson, Chase and wife Makayla Reed, Jazmine and fiancé Steven Molesy, Madelynn Reed, and Kaleb Reed; 8 great grandkids Samuel, Trent, and Thomas Reed, Isabella, Macie Whitmire, Brennan and Jackson Molesy, with Charlie Ivy Molesy soon to arrive.
A remembrance of her life and a celebration of her eternal life will be held at First Baptist Church of Wedington Woods: 15325 Quail Rd. Fayetteville, AR on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 4:00 PM, with a potluck and community to follow.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief and sorrow knowing that God has you now and has taken the pain and made you new once again and that you are with your loved ones and once again in the embrace of your soulmate whom you missed so much, we can smile and find comfort in knowing that you are in good hands. Rest in peace, mom. We’ll take it from here.
