Cleta Mae May's Obituary
Cleta Mae May, age 97, of Wichita, KS, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026. She was born March 29, 1929, in Springdale, AR. Her parents, William Rogers, Edna Holcomb Rogers and her husband, Harold Dean May preceded her in death.
She was a retired owner and operator of several motels in the Wichita area. She and her husband had purchased, sold and built them. Cleta loved country music, watching the television show The Voice and the shopping network channels.
Survivors are her sons, John May, Phillip May; a sister, Betty Phillips; grandchildren, Bryan May, Holly May, Jennifer Messick, Keyia Peterson; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville with Bro. Keith Kilmer officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery in Springdale.
