Colin Nathaniel Wilhoit's Obituary
Colin Nathaniel Wilhoit, age 20, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, in Fayetteville. Colin was born on October 20, 2003, in Bentonville, the beloved son of Tim and Cheryl Wilhoit.
Colin graduated from Bentonville High School with honors and was a two-time contributor to the state champion Bentonville lacrosse team. Colin was entering his junior year at the University of Arkansas, where he was studying supply chain management and was recognized multiple times on the Chancellor’s and Dean’s lists.
Colin’s passion for life was evident in all he did, from his academic pursuits and hobbies to the relationships he nurtured with family and friends. Colin had a way of brightening a room with his presence and brightly-colored attire. He could fill a room with laughter with his quick-witted remarks, and he ALWAYS brought the music. Colin was the one everyone could depend on. If you needed him, he came running.
Though he was a full-time student, Colin could never sit still and filled his spare time with “gettin swole”, hosting “poker rizz parties” and spending time at his happy place (Beaver Lake) with his family and friends while everyone enjoyed his home-brewed craft beer.
Colin's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly from a young age. In elementary school, he made and sold duct tape wallets and paracord bracelets, and outsmarted vending machines by selling candy bars in bulk. This drive continued into college, where he explored investing, side gigs, and even selling mattresses in bulk in pursuit of becoming the “mattress king.”
Colin was a beloved son, brother, friend, dog funcle and honorary younger brother to many. He is survived by his loving parents, Tim and Cheryl Wilhoit, and his siblings, Kyla and Kaden Wilhoit, who will forever cherish the memories of their time together. Colin’s life, though tragically short, was filled with love, laughter, and the promise of a bright future.
A visitation to honor Colin's life will be held from 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. Friday at Rogers First Church of the Nazarene , with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m., where family and friends will gather to celebrate this wonderful young man and the lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him. Interment will follow at Pinnacle Memorial Gardens under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Rogers. The family asks you to honor Colin’s memory by wearing bright colors.
Colin will be deeply missed and will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
