Colleen Monique Garza-Selvera's Obituary
Colleen Monique Garza-Selvera, passed in her sleep on Friday, December 11, 2020, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Colleen was preceded in death by her beloved son, JJ, Jaime Antonio Selvera, Jr. Born on October 30, 1977, in Corpus Christi, Texas, she is daughter of Jovita Ruth Stevens and Robert P. Guerra.
Colleen was the baby of our family and always brought us great joy and laughter. She was a great conversationalist who would converse about a multitude of interesting topics: theology, music, politics, her family genealogy, and other cultures’ cuisines. Colleen worked beautifully with her hands and gifted members of the family with a handmade gift to cherish.
Colleen is survived by her daughter, Alexia (Lexi) Selvera of Fairfax, Virginia, her mother, Ruth Stevens of Bella Vista, Arkansas, her brother, Nick Garza and wife, Rachel of Garland, Texas, her aunt, Jeannette Bennett and husband, Eugene of Russellville, Arkansas, and her uncle, Jesse Stevens of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by her first cousins Rick Stevens and wife Julie, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Will Stevens, and his son J.D. Stevens, San Antonio, Texas, with numerous other cousins.
Private services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Joey Travolta Short Film Camp.
