Connie Marie Barker's Obituary
Connie Marie Barker, age 68, of Fayetteville, AR, died December 11, 2024, after a battle with lung cancer. She was born on April 5, 1956, to the late Clell Barker Sr and Nola Mae Spencer-Barker in Fayetteville, AR.
Connie was preceded in death by both her parents, a daughter Nikki Barker, her siblings: Arlene Gene, Clell E Barker Jr, Kenneth “Kenny” Allen Barker, Mary Ruth Barker- Rodgers, Donald Barker, and her companion Thomas Denton of 35 yrs.
Connie had a joyful and infectious spirit that brightened the lives of all those around her. Throughout her life, Connie made meaningful contributions to her community through her kindness and generosity.
Connie worked numerous jobs. She was employed at Pinnacle Food for more than 15 years before retiring in 2010 due to breast cancer.
In her free time, she especially loved spending time with her family, laughing with friends, and enjoying the simple things in life. Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, and a beautiful soul who would help anyone. She selflessly opened her home to everyone. She never knew a stranger. Connie will forever be remembered as a beacon of light and positivity.
Connie’s memory will be kept alive and cherished by her children: Anisa Palmer and Charles Barker, her grandchildren: Ronyae Samuels, Keenan Samuels, Raven Palmer, Kylion Clark, Madalyn Crawfford, and Corbyn Barker; siblings: Evalena Morris, Doris (Paul) Blackburn, Fred Barker, her twin brother Lonnie Barker and along with a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday December 20, 2024 at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Moore’s Chapel.
