Conrad Krauft's Obituary
Conrad Krauft, age 68, of Fayetteville died Tuesday April 10, 2012 in Fayetteville. He was born December 28, 1943 to Chester and Stephanie Rogozinski Krauft in Chicago, Il. He was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville.
He has been, a dear and devoted husband, wonderful father, grandfather, researcher, author of many professional articles, a writer of chapters in classic counseling text books and faculty member in both the Psychology and Education Departments of the U of A for 7 years, an attorney in private practice for 14 years, professor at Northwest Ark Community College for 20 years, landlord for families in Fayetteville and Springdale for over 40 years and an avid tennis player. He leaves a rich heritage of helping many young athletes as being their coach for baseball, football, soccer and basketball teams.. Students who lost hope that they could never achieve academically, he always found time to tutor or mentor them. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus; an EMC; and led a study group for four years that graduated several members of his parish with master degrees in Pastoral Care from Loyola University of New Orleans.
He is survived by his wife Virginia, two sons, Jonathan Conrad Krauft and his wife Amber of Springdale, AR; Matthew Chester Krauft of Fayetteville, AR; two grandsons, Hudson Conrad Krauft and William Alexander Krauft.
Rosary service will be 6:00 pm Thursday April 12, 2012 at Moore’s Chapel with visitation following until 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Friday at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville with burial at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
