Ms. Hammons was the perfect first grade teacher: she both pushed me academically, and told my parents of my misbehavior at a teacher conference. I remember fondly that she would put our whole name (including middle!) on our desk in class--she taught my two brothers and me, and we have pictures of us sitting in those fully labeled desks. After my eldest brother had her, my younger brother and I were both happy when we learned OUR first grade teacher would be Ms. Hammons too.
I'm really thankful for her life and work!
