Curtis Bonnell
Curtis E. Bonnell, 81, of Springdale, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville.
He was born May 9, 1930 in Inglewood, California, the son of Carl D. and Hilda M. Stokenbury Bonnell. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Shelley Pergeson.
He was a retired employee of SWEPCO. He also picked up and delivered cars and enjoyed attending auctions. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving on the USS Kermit Roosevelt.
He is survived by, his wife, Anne Bonnell to whom he was married 57 years; two sons, Chuck Bonnell and his wife Karla of Fayetteville and Boyd Bonnell of Fayetteville; a daughter, Brenda Jones and her husband Alan of Farmington; a brother, Wilton Bonnell and his wife Jane of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, Meagan Bonnell, Josh Bonnell, Chris McAbee, Cody McAbee, Jason Pergeson and Johna Frisard, two great-grandchildren, Bella Pergeson and Cami Haley and faithful dog, Cindy.
Visitation will be held 5:00 -7:00 pm, Friday, February 17 at Moore’s Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at Moore’s Chapel and interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
