Curtis Ray Rice's Obituary
Curtis Rice, 63, passed away on October 3, 2025, at his home. He was born on December 30, 1961, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late William and Lois (Norris) Rice.
Curtis was a true disciple and humble in the way he approached life and treated others with Christ-like kindness. He was a lifelong member of the Calvary Church in Bentonville where he was awarded Volunteer of the Year 2025 for his years of service as a greeter and lead parking attendant and was loved by all.
He worked at UPS as a delivery driver for 30 years before retiring in September of this year. The people on his route became friends because of his ability to make people comfortable and important.
Ever the handyman, Curtis enjoyed collecting all things practical including tools, equipment and even antique lawn mowers. In his rare quiet moments, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and tending to his beloved goats and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Carol Rice, Deborah Crowder, Leroy Rice, Kenneth Rice, Calvin Rice, Chris Rice; and several nieces and nephews.
Curtis is survived by his children, Mike Rice, Leah Wilson (Dexter), and Austin Rice; siblings, Connie Scroggins (Daryl), Larry Rice (Sherri), Robert Rice, and Janet Carpenter (John); and grandchildren, Thomas, Katie, Alex, and Kaylee.
A visitation will be on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 1-2:30pm at Calvary Church Tabernacle in Bentonville, with a service at 2:30. Burial will follow at Bentonville Cemetery.
