Dale Edward Hoofard's Obituary
Dale Edward Hoofard, age 61, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born January 24, 1962, in Rogers to Ronald and Alma (Seacrest) Hoofard. He is preceded in death by was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Alma (Seacrest) Hoofard, his sister Pamela Ann (Hoofard) Donovan, and his father-in-law Vernon Lee Hayworth.
Dale was an avid and skilled hunter and was known by everyone as a true gun and hunting enthusiast. His true passion was deer hunting, although he aspired to go wild game hunting all over the world. Specifically in Africa and Alaska. He loved to spend as much time as possible out at Hobbs State Park where he has been deer hunting since he was a kid, before permits were even required. Another favorite of his was pheasant and quail hunting. Dale also loved to collect guns and historical war artifacts. You could always catch him researching gun parts as well as specific guns that he wanted to add to his collection. Dale was a sponsor of the Benton County Quail Unlimited Nonprofit organization. During their earlier years of marriage, they went on many amazing scuba diving adventures. He went to real estate school from 1988 to 1989 and was a licensed realtor for a brief time from 1989 to 1992. During this time, they purchased their current house which he completely rebuilt with the help of his father-in-law Vernon Hayworth. From 1990 he raised show cattle, then in 1997 he also had his own business of building and selling hitch covers which ran for 10 years with his wife Patti. After the cattle business ended in 2008, they bought an old farm and tore down the farmhouse, spent countless hours cleaning up the property, then created a subdivision which is known as the farms." Turns out, Dixieland crossing was land they leased to run cattle on. He did all of this while working his day job at Preformed Line Products which he finally retired from in January of 2023 after a 40-year career with them, ending as the maintenance supervisor. Despite his love for guns, hunting, and continuously working towards a better future, his favorite hobby of all time was spending time with his Granddaughter Lily these last 5 years.
Dale is survived by his loving wife; Patti Hoofard of the home; daughter - Marina Careeve Hoofard, son-in-law - Jose Ramon Canizales, granddaughter - Lily Sirena Canizales, and future granddaughter - Evelyn Rose Canizales, as well as his brother - Jim Hoofard, sister-in-law - Ellen Hoofard, aunt-Sue Popanz; mother-in-law - Willa Taylor Hayworth, and brother-in-law - Ray Hayworth. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home of Rogers. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM. A burial will follow at Benton County Memorial Park.
