Dale Sylvester Starr's Obituary
Dale Sylvester Starr, age 80, of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away on November 3, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 15, 1945, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Earl Floyd Starr and Lucille (Davis) Starr. On October 2, 1964, Dale married the love of his life, Leona Jean Cline. He worked as a brick mason for 53 years and was a member of West Ridge Freewill Baptist Church. Dale loved the outdoors and could often be found hunting or fishing. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 35 years, Jean Starr; two brothers, Leon Starr and Rev. Joseph Starr; and two sisters, Catherine Boatright and Wanda Stewart.
Dale is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Mitchell) Blackston of West Fork, Arkansas, and Kathy (Doug) Weston of Farmington, Arkansas; brother, Clarence Starr of Fayetteville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Tyrel (Rose) Weston, Kelsi (Brandon) Bartholomew, Michael (Brooke) Blackston, Kaci (Archie) Cole, and Courtney Blackston; and great grandchildren, Madi, Reagan, Cecilia, Hazel, Lyla, and Cameron.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery in Fayetteville. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
