Dale Clifford Stewart Sr.'s Obituary
Dale Clifford Stewart Sr., 76 of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on May 11, 2024, in Fayetteville, AR, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on June 25, 1947, in Batesville, AR, to the late Dale Calvin and Marie Stewart (Siedenburg), Dale's journey through life was marked by adventure, love, and a profound appreciation for the simple joys it had to offer.
Dale found solace and joy in the rhythm of the road, a passion he pursued fervently as a truck driver. For him, it was more than a profession; it was a gateway to experiencing the beauty and diversity of the American landscape. His career took him to 48 states, each journey a testament to his adventurous spirit and love for exploration.
Beyond the highways and byways, Dale cherished moments spent indulging in his hobbies. He had a fondness for old cars, the roar of NASCAR races filling him with excitement. His interests extended to firearms and knives, hobbies that spoke to his appreciation for craftsmanship and tradition. Dale found joy in antiquing with his son, a pastime that allowed them to bond over shared discoveries and cherished memories. His passion for uncovering the past also led him to delve into genealogy, connecting the threads of his family history with dedication and enthusiasm.
Dale was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Denise Stewart.
Honorary Pallbearers, a testament to the friendships he cultivated throughout his lifetime, will include Glen Smart, Teddy James, Tommy Long, Eddie Brock, Ralph Platt, Chaz Platt, Chris James, Steve Smart, Bobby Smart, Ricky Platt, Aaron Long, Andy Brock, Alan Long, Ben Hightower, Joey Hightower and Joshua Stewart.
Dale leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Rhonda Louise Stewart (Platt), his son Dale Clifford Stewart Jr. and his husband Gary of Pea Ridge, and his brother Marvin Leonard Stewart and his wife Effie of Pleasant Plains, AR. Additionally, he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends, each touched by his kindness, generosity, and zest for life.
A graveside service to honor Dale's life will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Egner Cemetery in Southside, AR.
