Dalton James Norris' Obituary
Dalton James Norris, age 27, of West Fork, Arkansas, passed away on June 5, 2026. He was born on October 16, 1998, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Patrick and Julie Graham Norris.
Dalton was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he served with dedication and a deep sense of duty. The Marine Corps’ core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment were reflected not only in his military service, but throughout his life as a son, brother, friend, and outdoorsman.
After graduating from Baptist Preparatory School in 2017, Dalton proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he attended the University of Arkansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Food and Life Sciences in 2025. Dalton was passionate about agriculture, conservation, and the outdoors, approaching his interests with both curiosity and purpose.
An avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman, Dalton found peace and fulfillment in God’s creation. He especially loved the natural beauty of Arkansas, including its native wildflowers, wildlife, and wild places. His appreciation for the outdoors extended beyond recreation and into conservation. At the time of his passing, he was preparing for his second trip to South Africa to assist with wildlife management efforts, combining his passion for wildlife with a desire to contribute to responsible stewardship and conservation.
Dalton attended The Pentecostal Church of Fayetteville with his family and treasured the relationships he built there. He held a special affection for his pastors and valued the friendships and encouragement he found within his church community.
Above all, Dalton was a loving son, devoted brother, cherished grandson, proud uncle, and loyal friend. He possessed a kind heart, a generous spirit, and a quiet strength that drew people to him. Known for his quick wit and unmistakable sense of humor, Dalton could always be counted on for a clever observation or perfectly timed comment. Those who knew him will remember not only his love of the outdoors and adventurous spirit, but also the laughter, stories, and unique perspective he brought to every conversation.
Though his time with us was far too short, Dalton’s life was marked by service, adventure, faith, love, and an appreciation for God’s creation. His legacy lives on in the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he shared so freely.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald Norris.
