David Allen Denton's Obituary
David Allen Denton, 77, of Anderson, MO passed away peacefully the morning of Tuesday, November 16th, 2021, in Fayetteville AR after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born May 15th, 1944, David endured a number of hardships in life, including being drafted to serve in Vietnam where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart and two Bronze Star Medals, and later the loss of his first child, Nathan. Throughout it all, he remained the kindest person anyone ever knew, always eager and willing to sacrifice his own comfort for the sake of others. A devoted father and brother, he was always a fierce and loving protector of his family. An incorrigible jokester and prankster, he always brought smiles and laughs, and sometimes shrieks, to those around him.
His passion was restoring and painting antique tractors and farm equipment, and he spent over 15 years living his dream on the rolling hills of his farm in Anderson where he raised cattle, cut hay, built home expansions, and restored a fleet of antique farming equipment. Never content to be idle, there were always new projects being hatched, and nothing made him happier than sharing his farm with family and friends.
His ashes will be interred and a marker placed at Fayetteville National Cemetery. At his request, no service will be held.
David is survived by four sisters, Dianne, Sandee, Carol, and Margie, one brother, Danny, and his four children, Joseph, Micah, Anna, and Laura.
