David Francis Hicks' Obituary
David Francis Hicks, age 78, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. He was born on January 26, 1939, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Melvin and Minnie Lehman Hicks. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Daniel and Dennis Hicks. David was a preacher and over the course of his life, pastored several churches. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and created many great memories with his family. He was very content with his life and was ready to meet the Lord. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-one years, Minnie Hicks of the home; his six daughters, Trish Leming and husband David, Christine Griffith and husband John, Melinda Osburne and husband Dennis, Paula Cradduck and husband Mike, Lisa Holt, and Lorrie Phillips and husband Roy; four sons, Jon Hicks and wife Angela, Buddy Carson and wife Tammy, Jeff Holt and wife Shonda, and Wade Reed and wife Cindy; two sisters, Geraldine Vickers and Geneva Hicks; eighteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 10:00am – 11:00am on Monday, July 10, 2017, at Moore’s Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 10, 2017, at Moore’s Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
