FREEDOG , grew up stopping at out home in Garrett, Indiana. He and Todd Warstler come around a lot ,we had a daughter in the same high school class, ( Renna Matthews. ) Watched a lot of late night movies with Freedog back in the 1980s . Freedog and Todd always called me rock in Ron. I made a story up that I had a BIG rock roll band and got them to believe it. When they caught on I was ringing their bell, I become rock in Ron. We have great respect for FREEDOG, and I called him FREEDOG was he was a kid in Garrett Indiana. Was a joy to know him. The world is a better place as he was here.RON MATTHEWSGARRETT, Indiana

Lynne: Dave was one of the most considerate people I have ever known. He was always looking out for others and trying to make their lives a little brighter. From having us over for a Thanksgiving dinner to first meeting you in Atlanta, we were blessed to know Dave. Words and sympathy cannot express enough the sorrow we know you feel right now. If there is anything we can do, please let us know.
Uncle Dave was one of the most generous, caring, loving guys I knew. I will never forget how he always treated everyone like royalty and would not hesitate to put everyone else first. I always looked up to him.I will never forget the times he and Aunt Lynne flew Jen and I out to see them and the boys for a week and the time they flew to Bloomington to hang with us for a weekend at Indiana University (we were never thirsty or hungry, thanks to Uncle Dave!!).I am so saddened by this enormous loss. I love you Uncle Dave! Aunt Lynne, Andrew, and Zach, we will always be here for you!!!
Freedog!!!! I've shed many tears the past few days with sorrow and fond memories. We met in 1995 while working at P&G. You quickly became a friend, mentor and business confidant. We worked on the P&G Walmart team together -- you helped me learn, grow and sell lots of Tide! Our paths crossed again in 2005 when I had the honor of working with you on the Activision Walmart team. We worked side by side at your dining room table for several weeks until our office space was ready. Andrew and Zach started calling me "Uncle Keith" as they'd see me each day and thought I lived at your home! We popped open cold beers at 3pm to guide & manage the amazing sales run we had with Call of Duty and Guitar Hero! We strutted around like WWE Champ Ric Flair screaming "whooooooooo" to celebrate big wins! You shamed me in Karaoke by rapping out a perfect rendition of "Cowboy" by Kid Rock or an old Willie Nelson tune. You always asked me how my son "KJ" was doing. You provided selfless ongoing friendship and mentoring after my Activision days. You loved Lynne, Andrew and Zach with all your heart 24/7 and loved watching the boys grow up. We had just talked about Andrew's incredible piano playing and Zach's baseball prowess. Dave, you were a true friend to the end and I'll miss you brother.Lynne, Andrew and Zach: Dave's spirit is still with us and will always be. My heart goes out to you but know I'm always here for you.With love, hugs, tears and joy...
Freedog-One more lesson to learn from you-Don't hold back!!! Speak all the things you need to say and try to communicate an explanation to difficult situations that arise. No matter how hard this is-TRY--(breathe)-we'd work on it.. You are so wise and so right! I love you for that(you know it).The brilliant, intuitive person you are. I know you are holding your beloved Lynne,Andrew, and Zachary,Todd W. Teresa-all his friends and family. Freedog, one last thing- Im so honored to have known you and call you friend.

You taught me how to be a sales person, a dad, a friend and so much more. I am filled with unspeakable grief. I know you loved your wife and kids so much and spoke so highly of them. When we said goodbye on Friday I only wish I knew I wouldn't see you again as I would have loved to have thanked you for all you've done for me and my family. I love you my brother with all my heart, never forget me, and may the force be with you always.
Lynne - my prayers are with you as I am having such a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that Dave is really gone. I cannot imagine the pain you and the boys are going through. Dave was ALWAYS kind, even when others weren't and made everyone feel like they had known him for years. He was your best friend and soul mate. He will forever watch over you and the boys. I will remember fondly many special memories with you all in such a short time we had together. RIP Freedog.
