David Hartman's Obituary
David Hartman, age 76, of Fayetteville, Arkansas graduated from Willard Walker Hospice Home on August 18, 2020. David was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas March 3, 1944. His parents were Evelyn Dhonna Englebright and Herman Bramlette Hartman. He is survived by his sister Laura Bell Shaida and her children Marilou Shaida Adams (Ron) and Chris Shaida (Julia); brother Carl Herman Hartman (Patti) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Harold Hank Hartman (Becky) of Davenport, Iowa.
David married Bettie Faubus in 1967 and they were blessed with one son, Roy Rellis Hartman (Michelle) of Fayetteville.
David grew up in Fort Smith and Wichita, Kansas before moving to Fayetteville, where he graduated from Fayetteville High School and attended the University of Arkansas. He worked for his family at Fayetteville Floor Company and was City Manager of Fayetteville Theater at the Ozark and worked for Nelson Solar Basic Industries in Tulsa. He was manager of Commonwealth Theaters in Rogers, Arkansas and Monette, Missouri. In 1971, he moved back to Fayetteville and took over Faubus Plumbing, Heat and Air. He operated the business for 55 years when he retired in 2019 due to health problems.
David attended Calvary Baptist Church for over 50 years, where he served as Deacon and was the sound engineer. He was a member of Washington Masonic Lodge, Number One for over 50 years where he was a Past Master. He was a member of Prairie Grove Gideon Camp, where he enjoyed giving out Bibles. His hobbies included working, fishing and being with his family.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
