I will always remember Dave Kelsey.
When I moved to Fayetteville I brought a small collection of antique automobiles. Talking with other old car keepers I raised the question: Is there a local mechanic that I can trust? One name always emerged: Dave Kelsey. So, for twenty-five years, Dave took care of my cars. He became an important service provider but, much more important, he became a trusted advisor and friend.
He was always honest, speaking the truth even when it was not always what I wanted to hear. He was dependable. He was fair. If Dave promised, one could consider it done. He cared about the outcome of his work never leaving a detail undone.
It is a simple legacy: Dave was a trustworthy craftsman and a loyal friend. It is the legacy he lived and left for all of us. He would have settled for nothing less.
