David Roe Smith, 60, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away, Thursday, April 18, 2019 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born March 28, 1959 in Denison, Iowa to Darwin R. Smith and Eva Mae Reschke Smith.
He was a 1977 graduate of Rogers High School and attended the University of Arkansas.
He retired from Walmart after 28 years of service managing Walmart Stores in Oklahoma.
David enjoyed watching sports, especially the Razorbacks, growing things and tending to his yard. He was a well-known “computer wiz” and loved understanding the latest computer gadgets and equipment.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Nancy Smith Townsend.
David is survived by his three children, whom he loved dearly, Stephen Craig Smith and wife, Maggie of Edmond, OK, David Cole Smith of Oklahoma City, OK, Caitlin Giltner Smith of Oklahoma City; his mother, Eva Mae Smith of Rogers, AR; his brother, Tim Smith and wife, Misty of Rogers; his sister, Sherry Pangle and husband, Warren of Bentonville; brother-in-law, James Townsend, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, Monday, April 22, 2019 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.
The service will be private.
