David Michael Tunstill, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on September 23, 1940, to Arthur David Tunstill and Lorraine (Fox) Tunstill in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
David was the oldest of three boys and spent the majority of his young life growing up in Amarillo Texas. David joined the Navy as a young man and thrived in the Navy, loving every minute of it. He got out of the Navy, met the woman of his dreams and they were married for 59 years. In early marriage, there were many moves to many states before the family settled in the mid-70s in Springdale, AR, where David was employed at Tyson Foods for 15 years. After Tyson, he and Carolyn owned and operated a successful ServiceMaster franchise for 23 years before retiring to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 2013.
David had the gift of gab, loved people and never met a stranger. In retirement, he discovered a hidden talent for creating wood art from Burl knots, realizing along with Carolyn, the theme of “what a difference the cross makes “. David incorporated the cross on each piece of art after that. He loved creating and gifting his beautiful wood art to people he knew and loved. Many people have been blessed by receiving these beautiful wood pieces.
