Dean Clark Hagemeier's Obituary
Dean Clark Hagemeier, age 90, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, in Bentonville, Arkansas, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 26, 1932, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Florenz and Eva (Galbraith) Hagemeier. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dwight Hagemeier, his sister Joyce Bumsted, daughter-in-law Cathy Hagemeier, and sister-in-law Carol Hagemeier.
Dean served our country in the United States Army and spent a lifetime learning about World War II. He was an avid reader and enjoyed staying informed of current events. Dean took pride in his yard and spent many hours tending to it. He also enjoyed barbershopping and racquetball. Dean had a very competitive spirit and enjoyed playing games and creating memories with his family and friends. Dean was a friend to all, and he will be sorely missed. Above all, Dean was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His family was his entire world, and he loved to spoil them.
Dean is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia (Arnold) Hagemeier of Rogers; his son Mark Hagemeier of Little Rock; his daughter Lynne Abston and husband Chris of Rogers; his beloved grandchildren, Katie Hall and husband Jared, Annie Hagemeier, Lauren Wyatt and husband Danny, Elizabeth Abston, and David Abston; his twin brother Gene Hagemeier; four nieces and one nephew; and a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville. An inurnment will be held at Fayetteville National Cemetery, Monday July 17, 2023, at 10:30 AM.
