Dean Mandrell's Obituary
Dean Mandrell, 94, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 in Fayetteville. She was born November 26, 1921 in Paragould, Arkansas the daughter of Cecil C. and Selma P. Taylor Johnson. Preceded in death by her huband, William Kermit Mandrell, Sr. on March 22, 2006. She was a volunteer for the Methodist Hospital in Paragould for 30 years, beginning the candy striper program in 1967 and opening the hospital gift shop in 1974 and serving as treasurer of the hosptial auxiliary in 1966 and president in 19871988. Survivors include her son, William Kermit “Bill” Mandrell, Jr. of Fayetteville, Arkansas; daughter, Kathy Van Laningham and husband, Scott of Fayetteville, Arkansas; grandson, John William “Will” Van Laningham of Little Rock, Arkansas. A private interment will be at a later date by the family. Arrangements are by NelsonBerna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas
