Deborah Jane Hanafin's Obituary
Deborah Jane “Debbie” Hanafin, age 64, of Fayetteville, AR, passed from this life on Saturday, October 22, 2022. She was born June 9, 1958 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Her father, Royce Ingram, preceded her in death. Debbie served as a project manager at Walmart for several years before retiring.
A faithful member of the Church of Christ, Debbie had many hobbies over the years, such as crocheting, scrapbooking, card making, and most recently, spoiling her grandchildren. As a graduate of the University of Arkansas, she also called the Hogs at many baseball, basketball, and football games. She loved to travel, venturing around the world to places like Gettysburg, Grenada, China, Europe, Las Vegas, and New York, just to name a few.
Survivors are her husband, Dwight “Pete” Hanafin; her children, Abigail Baugus (Brannon), Matthew Hanafin (Wen Su), Stephanie Khaldi (Mohammed), Grace Moore; her mother, Sandra Schoell Ingram, a brother, Paul Ingram; her grandchildren, Freya Hanafin, Ahmed Khaldi, Aayah Khaldi, Illy Khaldi, and another Khaldi grandson on the way.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Burial is in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, October 27, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home.
