Delmar Douglas Wise's Obituary
Delmar Douglas Wise, age 84, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and lifelong resident of Siloam Springs, passed away on March 23, 2024 in Fayetteville. He was born on July 7, 1939 in Greenland, Arkansas to Paskel Lloyd Wise and Evalyn Parrish Wise. Delmar married Maybelle Marie Pace on March 9, 1963 and they started a family. He was a man of many talents and worked various jobs until he settled at IGA in Siloam Springs where he managed the produce department. He had a great work ethic, but also loved visiting with customers and making new friends. He was very family oriented, patriotic, an avid antique collector and lifelong NRA member. He will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, both parents, and two brothers, James and Gerald.
Delmar is survived by his daughters, Teresa Swift and husband, Lance, of Fayetteville; Vonda Bach and fiancee, Ralph Rouse of Tomah, Wisconsin; a grandson, Alexander Reed; three sisters, Jeanie Hall, Arlene Murphy McAdams, and Valerie Poage and husband, Larry, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 29, 2024, at Nelson-Berna with burial to follow at Weddington Cemetery. Arrangements by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
