Dian Sosaya Parton's Obituary
E. Dian Sosaya Parton (82) passed away unexpectedly the morning of December 27, 2023. She lived the past 35 years in the Rogers/Garfield Arkansas area and prior to that, Shawnee, KS. Dian was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Ralph and Phyllis (Cox) Smith and her father Eugene “Spud” Stringer. She is survived by her husband John Parton, of the home, son Robert Sosaya II, his wife Bridget and grandsons Nick and Luke (Shawnee, KS), stepbrother Stephen Smith, niece Misty Benham (Putt) and great nephew, Oliver and great niece, Maya (all of Flagstaff, AZ).
Dian loved any and all animals. Her passion for rescuing and fostering dogs filled her retirement days. She was devoted to saving any animal through help transporting, volunteering or anything that was asked of her. She left 5 dogs and 1 cat that will be cared for by her husband, John. Dian will be missed by her family and the Rescue Community for her kind and loving heart. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Rogers AR, Animal Haven Rescue of Fayetteville, AR or any animal rescue of your choosing.
