Dianne Melahn's Obituary
Dianne Fowler Melahn, 71, of Winslow, Arkansas, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023. Dianne was born on May 5, 1952, in Newport, Arkansas to parents JC and Betty Jo Fowler. She worked as an Administrator in the physics department of the University of Arkansas until her retirement.
Dianne shared a love of animals with everyone around her. She was always known to keep her dogs and cats close to her heart. She leaves behind her dogs, Roscoe, Darla, Zena, and Bogart; as well as her cats, Petey, Teela, and She-Ra.
She is preceded in death, by her parents and her husband, Terry Lee Melahn.
Dianne is survived by her three sons, Charles Giertz (Sherrie Giertz), Darren Giertz (Angela Locklin), and Daniel Giertz (Kelly Smith); grandchildren, Branden Giertz (Stacy), Justin Giertz, Madlyn Fay, Devon Giertz, Olivia Giertz, and Zack Giertz; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Moore’s Chapel of Fayetteville. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.
