My deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Meier. I knew him only the short time that he was seeing Dr. Bradford. He and his family were all very pleasant to care for and patients like him are certainly missed when it is their turn to go. If I had known, Mrs. Meier, that we had mutual friends I would have spoken to you and your husband about them. I go to Rev. Paul Eden's church and have heard great things about Mr. Meier and his family since his passing. I know that you heart is broken but I pray that the Lord blesses you with comfort during this time and as you know we have not seen the last of Mr. Meier. He just gone on to "help" get things ready for us!! I don't know if you've ever heard the song "Let's Meet By the River" but if you haven't it would be worth your time to try to find it.

I knew Dick when we were kids. The thing that stands out in my memory the most was when Dick was in the Navy. He was home on leave from Japan and we were talking about the food in Japan. Dick said he ate raw fish over there. I said I don't believe it. He said lets go get some and I will eat it. (Back then nobody ever ate raw fish ) I had never heard of it. Anyway we got in my car and headed up to the old Benoits Fish Market at 16th and Summitview. We went in and I bought some raw fish and Dick ate it. I was impressed. I never saw Dick with out a smile. We were very fortunate to have gotten to see Uncle Dickie this past summer. What a wonderful smile, sense of humor and soul he possessed. He touched everyone who was ever lucky enouph to meet him. It was so apparent the deep love that was, and is still, between he and aunt Joan. May that love carry you through this very difficult time.

My brother Dickie Meier was the nicest man I have ever known.I will so miss all the phone calls from him! And I will treasure the last times I have been with him, just this last Thanksgiving, and of course this past summer, when him and wife Joan,along with our other brother Ray and his wife came to see me.We had such fun!!THE MEIER FAMILY HAS SO.MUCH LOVE.I will miss you so much brother.
