Don Harlan Dunaway's Obituary
Don Harlan Dunaway, age 80, of Elkins passed away Thursday, Aug 20, 2020 at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born May 29, 1940 in his home near Pinnacle Mountain, the son of Olen Vernon Dunaway and Francis McCullah Dunaway. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He owned Don’s Photography for 38 years and was known as the “picture man” by many in Washington and Madison County. He loved all types of hunting and fishing.
He was survived by his daughters Barbara Durham and her husband Bill of Farmington and Cathy Roland and her husband David of Springdale; a sister Ruby Sue Eldridge of Tontitown and a brother Bill and his wife Olivia of Irving, Texas; grandchildren Bradley and Chelsea Durham of Farmington, Nicholas Roland of Rogers, Brittany Haden of Springdale, and Mary Alberts of Sydney, Australia; and many great grandchildren; a stepdaughter Joy Urwiler and her husband Mick; and step-grandchildren Austin Urwiler of West Fork and Heather Stewart of Springdale. He was engaged to be married to Sharon Braswell of Fayetteville.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24th from 5-7 p.m., at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. The service will be held on Tuesday, August 25th, 11 a.m. at White River Fellowship Church in Elkins, AR, officiated by his grandson Nicholas followed by the burial at Shumate Cemetery, Crosses, AR.
