Donald E. Wilson's Obituary
Donald E. Wilson, age 65 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013 at his home in Fayetteville. He was born September 9, 1947 in McAlister, OK to Ervin Luther Wilson and Ann Dudark Wilson.
He was an attorney, electrical engineer, golfer, pilot, musician, and U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He graduated from Arkansas Tech University with the highest honors with an electrical engineering degree. He also received a juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his father, brothers David Wilson and Tim Wilson, and grandson, Zack Hagan.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wilson; mother Ann O’Neal of Siloam Springs, AR; seven children, Cathy Taylor of Benton, AR, Cary Lee Wilson of Memphis, TN, Ben Korte of Morganton, South Carolina, Bret Hagan of Springdale, AR, Ruthie Hagan Layman of Memphis, TN, Amanda Wilson Barbosa of Hanford, CA, Michael Wilson of Springdale, AR; two sisters, Wanda Holland of Siloam Springs, AR, Sue May of Yellville, AR; and thirteen grandchildren.
Rosary will be held Monday, August 12, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a visitation to follow from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville with Father Les Farley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
