Donald Owen (Don) Williams' Obituary
Donald Owen (Don) Williams, age 91, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, August 30, 2018 in Fayetteville. He was born November 10, 1926 in Schubert, Nebraska to John W. Williams and Cleo (Short) Williams. He was a member of Miller Community Church in Bentonville, where he lived most of his life. He was a World War II Navy veteran on a Troop Transport Ship. He was in Tokyo Bay when the Japanese surrendered. He is survived by his three children, Linda Stacy and husband Jim of Springdale, Bob Williams and wife Cheree of Ozark, Missouri and Jerry Williams and wife Jill of Fayetteville; two sisters, Kathryn Graham of Rogers and Lois Burgess of Ft. Smith; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and many many friends. Don lived a life of hard work, integrity, kindness and generosity. He lived out his Christian faith and was loved and respected by all. Memorials may be made to Miller Community Cemetery Fund, c/o Ramona Crabtree, 2005 Oakwood, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712. Graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
