Donald Ray Paschal's Obituary
GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT FARMINGTON CEMETERY TODAY.
Donald Ray Paschal, age 81, of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at his home in Farmington. He was born October 2, 1942, in Fayetteville to Charlie Paschal and Juanita Overbey Paschal. Don married Caroline Tackett Paschal, his wife of 57 years. Together they raised a family that would give him his most beloved title, Papa.
Papa Donnie was an active and committed member of his family, attending sporting events, sharing driving lessons, and often being more accurate in giving directions than a GPS after his 29 years with ABF Freight Systems. Don served in the National Guard as a young man and loved to share stories about the Northwest Arkansas he grew up in. An avid motorcyclist, Don was proud to be a Charter Member of the Razorback Riders Club in Combs, AR, and would volunteer and race at the White Rock Enduro as long as he was able to do so. He loved bringing his family to the camp and to ride motorcycles and 4-wheelers, creating some of their favorite memories with their Papa. Don loved a hot cup of coffee with his friends at Rick’s Iron Skillet and the joy of watching his great-grandchildren play. He was a wonderful husband, father, Papa, and friend. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his wife Caroline; two children, Bobby and his wife Rhonda Paschal and Elizabeth Paschal Ganoung and her husband Donnie Ganoung; two siblings, Helen Walker and David Paschal and his wife Delane Paschal; three grandchildren, Emily Jones, Katherine Miller and Caroline Ganoung; four great-grandchildren, Aubree Paschal, Ember Paschal, Theo Miller and Emmitt Ray Miller, named after his grandfather and great grandfather.
There will be a visitation and graveside service on Saturday, April 27th at the Farmington Cemetery, weather permitting. The visitation will be held at 1:30 pm, with the service beginning at 2 pm. In case of inclement weather, service will be held at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
