Doris Ruddock Lewis' Obituary
Doris Ruddock Lewis, age 94, of Fayetteville, AR, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025. She was born February 17, 1931, in Homer City, PA, a daughter of William C. Ruddock and Lona O’Neil Ruddock. She graduated from Rayen High School in Youngstown, Ohio in January of 1948, and went to work at the New Process Company in Warren, PA. After moving to Petersburg, VA she worked as a buyer in Rucker-Rossensstock’s Department Store before entering civil service in 1951. She worked at Fort Lee, VA before moving to General Material and Petroleum Activity located in New Cumberland, PA. There she served as the Budget Officer until retiring in 1988, and moving to Henderson, NV. Doris was a charter member of the Green Valley Evangelical Church in Henderson, NV and was a member of the National Association of Retired Employees, Chapter 2031 in Henderson, NV. In 2021 she moved to Arkansas where she was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fayetteville.
She was married to Billy J. Lewis from Tyler, TX in 1952 and they divorced in 1988. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Jasper (Robert); her grandchildren, Andrew Greenland, Kelsey Greenland; her nephews, Steven Kerced (Nancy), John Kerced, Christopher Kerced; a niece Tanya Renee Ruddock; and a sister-in-law Leah Ruddock.
Cremation arrangements are by Nelson Berna Funeral Home.
