I had the pleasure of getting to know Doris when she lived at the Grand Village at Clear Creek. I was one of her CNA s when I worked there through Home Helpers. She was always smiling and she had a really good sense of humor. She would always come and find me so we could chat as she called it. Doris was a real sweet lady and she missed her husband a lot. Doris is with him now in Heaven and I am sure she is happy. I considered her a good friend. My condolences & prayers to her family for their loss. Sincerely, Donna Johnson
A true Lady. She was precious to Mark and I and we grew close over the years while worshipping together. She’s gonna be missed so very much. Prayers for comfort🙏
Such a beautiful Christian lady. I’ve know her for 60 years and always admired her on the outside before I knew her sweet calm soul.
I am so sorry for your loss!
I remember when Doris Ann would come to Abilene with Mr. Yates on many occasions to visit Sandy and the boys! She always wanted to come to Laura’s Boutique and shop. She came dressed up with her hair and make-up in place and how she loved pretty things! (Especially jackets!) She enjoyed her coffee and special attention we gave her and loved to visit. When I first met her she corrected me just one time and said her name was Doris Ann not Doris. I always addressed her from that point on as Doris Ann.
She was such a proper lady with so much grace and love. Her family was everything!
She and Sandy had a beautiful bond as mother/ daughter and were always so close and loving to each other. Almost like best friends and what a treasure to have! They both were blessed to have each other. Sandy did a beautiful unselfish act of love when she moved to Arkansas to take care of her family!
Rest In Peace, Doris Ann!
Sandy, I remember when I first met your mother. Such an elegant woman. So tiny, with a soft voice and such love fore you and the boys.
