Dorothy Miko's Obituary
Dorothy Varner Miko, 89, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Butterfield Trail Village. She was born January 4, 1918 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Ross and Maude (Valentine) Church. She was a retired Elementary School Teacher from the Catlin and Danville school district. She was a devout member of the Christian Science Church in Danville and Fayetteville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Varner. She later married John Miko, who also precedes her in death. Survivors include a sister, Hilda Church of Danville, Ill., one daughter, Joni Varner of Fayetteville, Ar.; two grandchildren, Tony and Kacey Munford of Rogers, Ar.; one great granddaughter, Layila Munford of Rogers, Ar.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 29, 2007, in the Butterfield Trail Village Convocation room, with Robert Mello officiating.
A graveside service will be held Davis Cemetery in Fairmount, Illinois at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary,Kanub Utah.
