Dorothy Day Seaton's Obituary
Dorothy Day Seaton, age 91, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday September 13, 2022. She was born January 9, 1931 in Ventura, California to Lloyd and Agnes (Towne) Day. She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and resident of Butterfield Trail Village. Razorback alumna and a first-grade teacher at Fayetteville’s Washington Elementary School, she was also an accomplished painter, an enthusiastic stage actor, and frequent volunteer in the community.
She is survived by her husband of seventy-three years, Lloyd Seaton; her son, Pat Seaton and his wife Shelly of Greeley, Colorado; three grandchildren, Cory Seaton and his wife Jennifer Solms of New Orleans, Louisiana, Ryan Seaton of Los Angeles, California and Zachary Day Seaton of Kearney, Nebraska; daughter-in-law Susan Seaton of Kearney; and sister-in-law Lila Day of Houston. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lloyd Day Jr.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Monday September 19, 2022 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville with burial to follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
