I am so sorry to hear about Doug's passing. I worked with Doug both in Fayetteville and Little Rock as an IBM Administrator Manager to him. He was one of my very favorites! Doug always had that great big smile and could make anyone laugh if they were having a bad day. Sandra and the entire family, I am so sorry for your loss. I pray for peace and comfort as you navigate your life now without Doug, but know he is watching over you.

We’ve known Doug 25 plus years. Lived in Fayetteville for 23 years and then moved away, but I’d go back every year and play in golf tournaments with Sandra. Doug took great care of us-cooking and making sure we had a drink in our hand. He was our “Cabana Boy “ and I think he loved it as much as we did! Love you, Doug!!
I first met Doug on a fishing trip to Canada 7 or 8 years ago. Since that time I was fortunate enough to spend quality time with Doug fishing in Texas, Arkansas, and Canada; and of course those great days in deer camp. I consider Doug a true friend and will surely miss him. So Doug the next time we meet we will raise a toast of heavenly wine and talk about Old Times.

Doug Kuntz touched as many lives as anyone I've ever known, and certainly touched mine. Sandra, you asked for this, so here goes.
. Doug was the first guy I met when IBM brought me to Little Rock 51 years ago.
. Doug took me on my first Arkansas duck hunt
. We made our first ever ski trip together
. Doug took me on my first IBM Customer call
. He took me on my first float trip
. We were on our first IBM trip to Hawaii together
. Doug took me to my first Razorback baseball game
. Doug was with me to watch my son's State Football Champion game at War Memorial
. We shared our first Deer Camp cabin
. He took me on my first Texas hunting trip
There are many more firsts for me. Sounds like I didn't do much until I met Doug-O. Maybe I didn't.
RIP Old Friend

As Doug was laid to rest, a fight broke out among the angels in heaven. They were the sports angel, the hunting angel, and the fishing angel. After the fight was over one angel took his soul, the angel of good friends, good fathers and family.
Dougie...you brought a lot of joy to those you touched
I will forever miss your friendship.

We have so many fond memories of Doug from our time working together at IBM in Fayetteville. Doug was the epitome of class and integrity, and someone I always admired for his “work hard and play hard” approach to life. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Doug was my friend for well over 50 years beginning when we worked together at IBM. He was always positive and fun to be around. He had a great sense of humor and relished telling a good joke! He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
