Doyle Wayne Morgan's Obituary
Doyle Wayne Morgan, age 85, passed away Saturday May 3, 2025, at his home in Fayetteville. He was born January 6, 1940, in Manila, Arkansas to the late Robert H. and Lella Morgan. He is a member and deacon of Central Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by Marian Jones Morgan and Mary Lynne Parker Morgan.
He was a teacher and counselor in the West Fork and Fayetteville school districts for 31 years. He raised registered Brangus cattle and was the first president of the Northwest Arkansas Brangus Breeders Association. Upon retirement from education, he raised cattle and farmed full time for 30 years. Doyle was a former district governor of the Arkansas Lions Club International and active with The Gideons International for many years.
He is survived by his wife Carol Patterson; one daughter, Monica Morgan Frisby and her husband Jimmy of Fayetteville; one son, David Morgan and his wife Tracy of Fayetteville; his sister, Joan Porter of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Erin Morgan, Cason Frisby, Robert Morgan, and William Morgan; Carol’s daughter Denise Elms and her husband Valton of West Fork; Carol’s son Brian Barnes of Hot Springs; and many family members.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Wednesday May 7, 2025, at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Thursday at Moore’s Chapel with burial to follow in Baptist Ford Cemetery in Greenland.
