Dr. Stanton was my parent’s veterinarian as far back as I can remember. I know that’s the reason Bobby and I used him until we moved away for a while. He always knew my name, wherever I saw him and he was always smiling. His love of animals was beyond words. He was so knowledgeable. Derik has certainly taken after his dad as I think he is an amazing person as well as a great veterinarian. Love and prayers to the family.

I am so filled with sorrow for the family, but also for the community. Doc has been my vet since he opened. I arrived in Fayetteville about the same time. What a great man he was and what a great spirit he will continue to be. I can't believe he won't be popping in and out of the clinic. It's a great loss to all of us. My husband Jeremy Hess and I will not forget him!

It was sad to receive the news of Dr. Stanton's passing. He was our veterinarian for over 35 years until I retired and we moved to Arizona in 2014. One of the most difficult things about leaving Arkansas was giving up that relationship with Dr. Stanton. I considered him a friend as well as our trusted veterinarian. I have so many good memories of visiting with him about fishing on Beaver Lake, Razorback Sports and family. My thoughts & prayers will remain with Derik and the Stanton family.
