Duane E. Canfield's Obituary
Duane E. Canfield, 74 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Monday, September 22, 2008 in his home. He was born December 25, 1933 in Wichita, KS to Earl and Irene (Bailey) Canfield. He was retired from the U.S. Army and while on his tour in the US Navy Duane served on the USS Casa Grande. He also retired from the Veteran’s Administration and was a member of the American Legion and Elk’s Lodge.
He was preceded in death by a son Randy Canfield.
He is survived by his wife; Carol Canfield, two daughters; Desiree Cathy and Dawn Hartman of Tucson, AZ, one son; Dana Canfield of Tucson, AZ, five step daughters; Stacey Bressler of Hosington, KS, Ginger Brown of Fayetteville, AR, Jackie Schumacher of Wichita, KS, Bobbi Dreiling of Hays, KS, Bonni Olson of Scottsdale, AZ, one brother; Reverend Don Canfield of Blue Springs, MO, one sister; Marlene Yocum of Wichita, KS, eighteen grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral in Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 26, 2008 in the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Reverend Don Canfield. Burial will follow at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
Pall Bearers will be David Martin, Neil Carey Dustin Rupp, Austin Brown, Randy Ridgeway and Zachary Canfield
Memorials may be made to Washington Regional Hospice or to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville Building Fund.
