Phyllis, David, and Brad, please know we all send our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy in the loss of Earl. What an amazing and great man. All of our family enjoyed him and we all have the best stories of laughter and wisdom from Earl. The world will be a little darker without his smile and compassion. We had the pleasure and honor of being neighbors with your parents on Bonnie Lane as well as mutual members of Rolling Hills Baptist Church. Earl was always there for us as a friend and mentor. And was an inspiration for our entire family. His authenticity and kindness will be missed by generations. What a life well-lived and admired!

David and Brad, your mom and dad, both, will always be gems in our hearts. Going to Hog basketball games, piano and organ duets, serving together at RHBC, being neighbors and oh, so much laughter! Phyllis directed Carie Beth’s wedding and our grandchildren still play with the wooden blockers Earl made for Drew over 35 years ago. We love, appreciate and value the time they took in mentoring and building a friendship with us....such gratitude in knowing them. We extend our deepest sympathies to your families. There has never been a time in my life that I thought Earl Eddins was the most gracious and caring man. He seemed to have an interest in everyone including his days at Washington Regional when he checked on everyone. Our longtime friendship with the Eddins brings back many wonderful memories with our time in Fayetteville and going to Wauhillau. Earl always took such wonderful care of Phyllis and they seemed to be the perfect couple. My heart is sad at this time because I miss their love and friendship towards us. I send my love and sympathy to David and Brad who have also been a wonderful part of my life. Please accept my deepest sympathy and love to the Eddins boys.

When Bill finished his training we wanted to come to Northwest Arkansas as my family and his were in the area. A general poling of some of the physicians was his specialty was not needed. We had the usual debt from years of school and did not have the resources to try to come to a community we were not wanted in. Earl ignored the opinion of others and took a chance on a young surgeon. With his support we were able to join our families and the wonderful community of Northwest Arkansas. He was always kind, supportive and a joy to be around. After leaving WRMC (which we were very disappointed in losing him as an administrator) we would run into him at Lowe's where he worked for a while and Bill thought what a great transition to finally have time to get involved in all those projects they never had time for. We are sorry for your loss but what wonderful memories you share with having had him in your lives.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Mr. Eddins was such a big part of my life at WOC. I’ve always had such respect for him and will miss him very much.
A great man, it was great to know Mr. Eddins from when I worked in the kitchen at WRMC and one of my duties was to keep the boardroom stock with supplies.
