Eddie Smith, 60 of Elkins, AR passed away Friday, January 9, 2009 in Fayetteville, AR. He was born December 13, 1948 in Carrollton, KY to Joseph and Julie (Pranosky) Smith. He was employed in Building Services for the City of Fayetteville and was a member of Springdale First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Barbara Smith, one son Charlie Smith, three step daughters; Becky Lynn Kennington of Cane Hill, AR, Sheri England of Fayetteville, AR, Tracy Poole of Orange, CA, five brothers; Joey Smith and Fred Smith of KY, Randy Smith of Victoria, TX, John Smith of Oklahoma, Otis Smith of TX, four sisters; Lou Jones and Erma Dean Jones of MS, Betty Smith of New Orleans, LA, Barbara Chase of CA, five grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Springdale First Baptist Church Chapel. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to The Washington Regional Cancer Support House 1101 Woolsey Ave Fayetteville, AR 72703.
