Eddie Whorton's Obituary
Eddie Whorton, age 81, of Springdale passed away Thursday January 4, 2024, in Springdale. He was born April 14, 1942, in Colton California, The son of Guy E and Katherine Cole Whorton; his son Jeff Whorton and a sister Anna Duncan preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Army achieving the rank of Sergeant while stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. Prior to his time in the service Eddie attended Huntsville High School. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bentonville. He was very passionate about working with wood, from making pens, checkerboards, and more. Eddie was retired. He had always owned his own businesses through the years including Whorton Inc., Ozark Putt, and many years ago owned Whorton Chevrolet.
He survived by son Toma Whorton, his wife Andrea Whorton, and their three daughters Shayle, Mia, and Tylie, all of Springdale. Daughter in Law Marshawn Whorton and her daughter Charlie, of Springdale, and a sister Belinda Davis of Edmund, Oklahoma.
A graveside service will be at the Huntsville Cemetery at 10:30am on February 17.
