Edna Nell Braker's Obituary
Edna Nell (McFall) Braker of Bella Vista quietly passed from this life on April 1, 2023, at the age of 90. She was born to Jay and Dorothy McFall in Tuttle, Oklahoma Sept. 24, 1932. Edna was preceded by husbands Bill Robinette, Leonard Stansberry, and Wayne Lawson, son Gary Stansberry, and brother Don McFall.
Edna grew up working and playing on the family farm. She graduated from Tuttle High School in 1951, resided in the Oklahoma City area until 1956 then moved to Southern California. Edna approached life with great exuberance and loved to explore the unique places in the greater Los Angeles area. She especially enjoyed the beach and approached every activity with childlike glee. Edna developed a career as a Medical Administrator/Manager and was an active member of the Riverside County Medical Assistants Association.
Edna moved to Bentonville, Ark in 1969 and joined the management team at Bates Memorial Hospital where she served for many years. She embraced the natural beauty of the area. Her favorite pastimes included exploring, long walks, canoeing along the White River, and antiquing. She became a Master Gardener and was an enthusiastic member of the ladies Garden Club.
Edna and Henry Braker, a longtime resident of Bella Vista, were married on July 5, 1996, in a beautiful ceremony at the Cooper Chapel celebrated by their loving families and friends. Edna and Henry shared many adventures, traveled to many places, and made many friends. They have been steadfast members of the Bella Vista Assembly of God for years.
Edna is survived by husband Henry Braker, sisters Joy Plumlee, Debra DeBartelo and husband Ralph, Pat McFall, nephews Keith and Kevin McFall, niece Kristin Prouse and a host of additional extended family members. She is also survived by her stepsons Gregg Braker and wife Gay, Steven Braker and wife Pam, stepdaughter Brenda and husband Scott Schauer. Edna was blessed with step grandsons Andrew and Eric and step granddaughters Samantha, Annie, and Evelyn. She left a legacy to us all – to live each day to the fullest and be true to our faith.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at the Bella Vista Assembly of God Church, 1771 Forest Hills Blvd. Wed. April 12 at 10:30 a.m. A graveside memorial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, OK Sat. April 15 at 1 p.m.
