Clyde Hayre
Thelma was the last remaining 'Hayre' that my father, Clyde Hayre, was close to. Their fathers, Wes Hayre and Francis (Frank) were brothers, who helped settle Hair (a mispelling of Hayre) Mountain in Cass, and then moved to Winslow as very young men to find work in logging, and on the Frisco. Until her latter years, Edna lived in the shadow of the Frisco tracks. I visited her many times, with my father, and some after his passing. I didn't have her phone number, and dropped by some recently to find she was not residing at the home place. Today is the first I heard of her passing. She was a great friend to my Dad, and vice versa. She was special. Clyde David Hayre
