Edward Vincent Carr, Jr, age 64, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on May 2nd, 2025, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR, surrounded by his loving family. He spent his whole career working in pharmaceuticals, most recently as Regional Business Director for Paratek Pharmaceuticals.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Michael Carr, Dennis Carr, and Gerry Carr.

Ed was a huge sports fan. He never left his roots as a Philly sports fan, loving the Eagles, Flyers, Phillies and 76ers, while also continuing his love of his alma mater, Duquesne University. Though he would never admit this, at least to his family in Philadelphia, he slowly switched his love of sports to Chicago. Many a season ticket holder and a true lover of the Cubbies, Blackhawks, and Bears, he spent plenty of time tailgating at Soldier Field or having a cold one around Wrigley Field. Ed was lucky enough to witness 3 Blackhawks Stanley Cups and 1 Cubs World Series, and 2 Eagles Super Bowl victories! Watching sports with his son Sean, Erika, or some of his friends was always a great time for Ed.
Ed was an amazing big Brother, Husband, Father, and Friend! He personified the meaning of friendship, commitment, and kindness, and he left an undeniable mark on the people he met. Ed lived his life with family and friends in mind and he could always be counted on to provide endearing friendship, help, and advice to the ones he loved. Furthermore, he had an incredible ability to inspire confidence in those around him as the eldest brother and vast experience in leadership roles. In addition, Ed was a man of faith who leaves behind a legacy of love and a generosity of spirit that endures in all of us who were blessed to have known him. As one of his friends recently said, “For those of you that know Ed, you are the lucky ones. For those that didn’t know Ed, hopefully you have a friend that emulates his greatness. He was a kind, wicked smart, generous, and a thoughtful person that really cared about people”.
