Edward D. Connell's Obituary
Edward D. Connell, age 77, of Fayetteville died Saturday April 6, 2013 in Fayetteville. He was born February 29, 1936 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Edward N. and Elizabeth Dodd Connell. He was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville and served as usher coordinator. He was a retired chemical engineer and worked for the City of Fayetteville in land procurement. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John David Connell and one grandchild, Katherine Poe.
He is survived by his wife Kitty Connell; one daughter, Karyn Connell of Concord, California; two sons, John Edward Connell and his wife Jane of Camas, Washington; James David Connell of Cape Coral, Florida; one sister, Sr. Jeanne Mary Connell of Texarkana, Texas; three brothers, James Michael Connell and his wife Patti of Forest Grove, Oregon; William Joseph Connell and his wife Beckye of Lillian, Alabama; Thomas Patrick Connell and his wife Toni of Benton, Arkansas; two step daughters, Lisa Cotton and her husband Doug of Springdale, Arkansas; Becca Poe and her husband James of Fayetteville; one step son Mike Dye of Fayetteville; sister in law, Linda Connell McCarthy of Denver, Colorado and nine grandchildren all of whom were very special to him.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday April 9, 2013 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Joseph Catholic Church with private family burial of ashes to follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Fayetteville under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
