Edward Erich Edgar's Obituary
Edward Erich Edgar, 82, passed away January 29, 2004 at the Fayetteville Health and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. He was born June 22, 1921 at Lordsburg, New Mexico, the son of James Edgar and Clara Cloudt Edgar.
Mr. Edgar was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II serving in the Marshall Islands. He was a farmer in Duncan Arizona where he was very active in agriculture and served on various boards and as a director of the Rural Electric Cooperative for fifteen years. He moved to Arkansas in 1972 where he continued to farm and ranch at the Crossbow Ranch in the Hindsville area, later retiring to Fayetteville.
He is survived by his wife; Vera Lee Edgar of the home with whom he enjoyed 65 years of marriage, one daughter, Shirley Plumley of Hindsville, Arkansas, one son and daughter-in-law, James and Nancy Edgar of Hindsville, Arkansas, five grandchildren, Vickie Wadel of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Teri Livermore of Springdale, Arkansas, Russell Plumley of Centerton, Arkansas, Ericha Edgar of Benton, Arkansas and Johanna Edgar of Hindsville, Arkansas, five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Monday, February 2, 2004 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with Rev. C.H. Doss officiating. A private family burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
