Edward Kent Holmes' Obituary
Edward Kent Holmes, 50, of Bella Vista, AR passed away suddenly and tragically on June 8, 2017. He leaves behind his wife of 8 years, Debbie Lane Holmes; his parents, Kent and Ginger Holmes of Falls Church, VA; three sisters, Catherine Holmes of Falls Church, Christine Bennett of Warrenton, VA and Diana Holmes and husband, Michael Russell of Silver Spring, MD; four step-children, Amber Terrones and husband, Matt, Jesse Lane and wife, Stephanie all of Bentonville, AR, Matt Lane and wife, Jennifer of Little Rock, AR and Josh Lane and wife, Mandy of Benton, AR; four sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; five nephews and eleven nieces. Ed was a fun and active grandfather or "Papa Ed" to eleven grandchildren that he deeply loved. Ed loved spending time with his family and never missed a family gathering. He held a master s degree in physical therapy from Northern Arizona University. He worked as a physical therapist for Mercy Home Health in Rogers, AR for 18 years. Ed was an active member of The Neighborhood Church in Bentonville, AR. He volunteered weekly serving communion and cleaning up after service. Ed was an avid runner and his favorite thing to do was to watch football with his wife. Ed was extremely loved and respected by his family, friends, fellow church members, co-workers and patients. He had a kind and generous spirit and a servant's heart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm with the service following at 2:30pm, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at The Neighborhood Church, 2003 SW Regional Airport Blvd., Suite 9, Bentonville, AR 72712 with Pastor Joe Liles officiating. Burial will follow in Bentonville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Neighborhood Church in memory of Ed Holmes.
