Eileen D Koehring's Obituary
Eileen Koehring, age 88, of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday December 23, 2015. She was born December 1, 1927 in Bluffton, Ohio to Herbert and Vera Pierce Haller. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and served as a volunteer for the Sunday school. She was a member of the Asbury Sunday school class at Central Methodist Church and Circle 7. She attended Bluffton University. She was secretary at the Smoky Hill Air Force now known as Schilling Air Force Base in Salina, Kansas. She and her husband Norman were founding members of Razorback Camping Club of Northwest Arkansas. Eileen was an avid writer, volunteer for the Washington County Fair and a Busy Bee for the Washington County Extension Services. She and Norman were in the Square Dance Club, she volunteered in the Washington Regional Gift Shop and worked as a secretary for the Fayetteville public schools administration. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman G. Koehring and her sister Jo Stonehill. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Koehring-Brents and her partner Blythe Selby of Patterson, California; one son, Mark Koehring and his wife Brenda of Wichita, Kansas; brother, Bill Haller and his wife Shirley of Ohio; three grandchildren, Josh Hall and his wife Hannah; Travis Koehring and his wife Rachel; Tyler Koehring; four great grandchildren, Edy Hall, Hattie Hall, Christian Hall and Nate Hall. Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday December 29, 2015 in the Wesley Chapel at Central United Methodist Church under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
