Eileen Mary Reinhardt's Obituary
Eileen Mary Reinhardt, age 79, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed peacefully on March 24th, 2026 at her daughter’s home.
Born on April 10th, 1947 in Villa Park, Illinois to Joseph and Irene Hunnewinkel. She was raised and lived a life rooted in faith, devotion, and love for others. A faithful member of the Catholic community, she carried her beliefs into everyday life, offering kindness, compassion, and a welcoming spirit to all she met.
She devoted many years as a homemaker while living in Peoria, Illinois, creating a home filled with warmth and unconditional love. She also worked as an administrative assistant, where she was appreciated for her dedication and gentle nature. No matter where she was, she had a smile and a kind word for everyone.
In her later years, she devoted countless hours beside her beloved spouse, caring for him with unwavering love, patience, and grace during his old age.
She was united in marriage to James Reinhardt, sharing 56 beautiful years together built on love, faith, and commitment, until his passing.
A devoted mother, she leaves behind her son, Curtis, and her daughter, Gretchen, who were the center of her world. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Ian and Sulley Reinhardt, and Jameson Brannon, who brought her endless joy through their playful shenanigans.
She is survived by her son, Curtis (Deana) Reinhardt, and grandson Ian Reinhardt of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Daughter Gretchen (Taylor) Brannon, and grandson Jameson Brannon of Tontitown, Arkansas. A large and loving family of brothers and sisters, Clare (Jim) Meenan of New Vernon, NJ, Mary Lou (and the late Tom) Dusing of St. Charles, IL, Kathleen (and the late John) Leonard of Palentine, IL., her loving twin, Irene (David) Buchan of Plano, IL., Peg (Tom) Cabernoch of Grayslake, IL, Joe (Tom) Hunnewinkel of Chicago, IL., and Mike (Julie) Hunnewinkel of St. Charles, IL., along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, her parents, one brother, Tom Hunnewinkel, and one grandson, Sulley Reinhardt.
Her life was a beautiful example of quiet strength, deep faith, and genuine kindness. She will be remembered for her warm smile, her gentle heart, and the love she shared so freely with everyone around her.
A Rosary will be held on March 28th, 2026 at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
